Chinchontepeque Volcano. It is at San Vicente and usually called San Vicente volcano This Beautiful volcano has two peaks and it is near the Cerro Verde which makes a perfect paradise.
El Boqueron Volcano. It is usually called: " El Boqueron". But it is really called San Salvador Volcano. It has a perfect view from the ABC school and in other places, therefore that means that the this volcano is huge and beautiful.
Santa Ana volcano. It is the volcano with the biggest crater in El Salvador and it is the most active in El Salvador because recently it has been an explosion that has open that big crater. It is usually Called: Ilamatepec Volcano.
San Miguel Volcano. It is also called: Chaparrastique volcano. It has a very beautiful view because it has no mountains surrounded and that makes a perfect view for this marvellous volcano and the people who live near the "Chaparrastique".
Izalco Volcano. It is a Volcano so powerful. At 1800 it was called: "El Faro del Pacifico" (Lighthouse of the Pacific). But they named it when it was at full power.
Conchagua Volcano. It is in La Union city. This volcano is in one of the biggest department of El Salvador, it is in the East of El Salvador. This Majestic Volcano has a perfect view from the city of La Union.
Ilopango volcano. It is at Ilopango lake. In 1800 the water level rose. A natural channel (rio Jiboa) left as a result a volcanic island called Ilopango volcano.
Guazapa volcano. This is were the civil war of El Salvador took place in 1980 and finished in 1992. This incredible volcano connects to Suchitoto and Aguilares.
Chinameca volcano. This volcano is located in San Miguel neighboring San Miguel volcano "Chaparrastique volcano"
Tecapa volcano. This volcano is located in central El Salvador, but its specific location is in Usulutan.
Taburete Volcano. This volcano is located between San Vicente and San Miguel and a bit west of Usulutan.
Usulutan volcano. This volcano is located in Usulutan, rising above the costasal plain between San Vicente and San Miguel.
Conchaguita volcano. This volcano is in a island which is in the Gulf of Fonseca. The island in which the volcano is, is callled the Conchaguita island.
This were the most important volcanoes in El Salvador, they are around 25 volcanoes in El Salvador including the extinct volcanos like the Ilopango lake that before it was a volcano and the water level rose and it became a lake. The other one have erupted but long ago. The most recent eruption of a volcano was in 2005 and that volcano was the Santa Ana volcano (the Ilamatepec volcano) and with that eruption left a big hole in the volcano. It is now the biggest crater of all El Salvador.
